Return Mali and Guinea to democratic rule or face Sanctions-Ecowas says

The Economic Community Of West African States has urged mali and Guinea to return their Country back to Democratic rule or Civilian rule or face Sanctions.

 

The meeting was held in Ghana’s capital Accra. The Chairman of the Ecowas President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has revealed that Mali and Guinea should return their country back to Civilian or democratic rule or face sanctions.

Guineas Military ‘Coup’ led by Colonel Mamady Doumbouya has said he nor his family will stand for elections in the country. Ousted president Alpha Conde is still on House arrest.

Colonel Mamady Doumbouya has been declared as Guineas President and has sacked 44 top military officers who were loyal to Alpha Conde.
