President Nana Akufo-Addo grants relief for TVET students
In a bid to provide suitable resources for students, the President of Ghana has said that TVET institutions will be included in the free SHS program starting 2022. Starting this year public channels are also to be exhibited.
President Akufo-Addo shared that efforts to improve the education system is a heart priority of his administration. New directives according to him, would cover 1st year students in public TVET institutions starting 2022.

The investment in education is a key priority for our country’s progress. 1st year students in public TVET institutions will be covered by the Free SHS starting 2022 as part of this plan and changing the landscape of what is being studied, how we teach it and where schools are built.
Free SHS will increase the focus in our education system. Akufo-Addo has already started the construction of 20 science, technology, engineering and mathematics centers for first year students across the country. The Accra Stem Academy is also in progress.
