Elizabeth Sackey endorsed as Accra mayor

Elizabeth Sackey former member of parliament for Okaikwei North has been endorsed as the new Accra Mayor. She has become the first-ever female mayor of Accra.

 

There were several protests in the Ododiodio constituency against her nomination. She obtained 100% votes from all the assembly members who voted. Her Main Priority is to improve the sanitation system in Accra.

 

According to Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Adjei Sowah was unable to raise more funds for the assembly. The minority members in parliament were in full support of her nomination.

 

She has pledged to work hard as the new Mayor to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa the vision of the president comes to pass. She comes from Asere in the Greater Accra Region.

She is also a member of the NPP(New Patriotic Party) and a former Deputy Minister for the Greater Accra Region.
