Corruption kills than civil wars-Prof. Lumumba
Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba says that corruption has killed more people than civil wars in Africa. Prof. PLO Lumumba is the director of the Kenya school of law. His objective is to fight and end corruption in Africa.
Professor PLO Lumumba said on Sahara tv that African’s must recognize bad governance harmful to their well-being not only for the current generation but for generations yet to be born.
He further stated that Africa is a continent that has always had potentials but since we regained our independence from the colonialists, African leaders in many countries have consistently demonstrated that they are not working in the interest of their people and that’s sad because many of the individuals who occupy government positions of leadership are still beholding to their colonial masters.
He said that the African Union is beginning to let Africans down because of the ongoing corruption and youth unemployment.
Many African Countries keep borrowing from western countries. There are lots of corruption cases in Cameroon, Togo, South Africa, Central African Republic, Mali, Mauritania, etc.
Professor PLO Lumumba is disappointed in most African leaders because they don’t come to serve their people but rather comes to fill their pockets.
He said that this is the time we find a solution to Africa’s problems. He also said that he is afraid that one day there might be an Arab Spring in Africa.
