Colonel Mamady Doumbouya sacks 44 top military officers
Guinea’s new president Colonel Mamady Doumbouya has sacked 44 top military officers who were loyal to former president Alpha Conde.

Colonel Mamady has appointed the new prime minister of Guinea since the coup occurred this is to return Guinea back to a democratic government.

44 top military generals in Guineas armed forces have been sacked by the new president Colonel Mamady Doumbouya.
General Bourema conde, General Mathurin Bangoura, General Remy Lamah, and other top generals are part of the 44 sacked generals.
President Mamady has also named other military officers to replace them. The sacked military generals will be entitled to lots of benefits including free healthcare.
Colonel Balla Samoura has replaced General Ibrahim Balde as the new CDS.
Former president Alpha Conde is currently held in detention. Ecowas led by President Akuffo Addo has ordered the release of Alpha Conde from detention.
