He has now been declared as the interim president of guinea. At the swearing-in ceremony, he said in his speech that he is committed to serving the people of guinea well.

He has started prosecuting top government officials who embezzled state funds. Colonel Mamady Doumbouya is now sworn in as the new president of guinea.
Mamady will serve as the president till the country returns to democratic rule. Alpha Conde served two terms as president and later managed to change the country’s constitution to stand for the third term.
Conde managed to change the country’s constitution to favor him. Ecowas chaired by President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has given Guinea’s new president colonel Mamady 6months ultimatum to return the country to civilian rule.
This Ecowas meeting was held in Accra capital town of Ghana. The new president has said that he and his family will not present themselves for future elections.
