Black Sherif Makes History with 100M Streams on Boomplay

Black Sherif, a rising artist from Ghana, has amassed 100 million plays on Boomplay, the continent’s largest music streaming and download service.

 

After an incredible run over the last year, the “Kwaku the Traveller” crooner is now the first Ghanaian artist to cross the 100M streaming barrier on Boomplay.

Blacko stated on his social media platform that “It means a lot to me to be the first Ghanaian artist to reach 100 million streams on Boomplay in such a short amount of time.

 

This makes me realize that I can do anything as long as I embrace it and courage to work on it.

 

As a small child from Konongo, I just had a passion and a vocal. Huge gratitude to the Boomplay crew for having me on since the beginning, Black Sherif said.

 

Named Mohammed Ismail Shariff, the outstanding 20-year-old artist’s 2019-2020 releases of “Money,” “Cry For Me,” and “Destiny” helped him earn some internet notoriety.
